CAPRI - Historic events

Among the disasters listed in the Worldwide Disasters section of this portal, a certain number have been investigated and studied in depth by government and researchers. The examination of these events usually occurs when an event is viewed as a catastrophe or otherwise influences public perception with broad implications for chemical process safety management and policy. The majority of these events have contributed to the development of new regulatory requirements, provided valuable lessons learned and shaped current process safety strategies towards efficient risk management

This historic events list provides a "one-stop" access to the extensive information and official investigation reports produced in the wake of these events. JRC-MAHB has taken every effort and attempt to ensure it is accurate and current.
